Commentator, PCCA‘s membership magazine took first place honors in its category of the Cooperative Information Fair sponsored by the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) during the organization’s annual meeting Jan. 18-22 in Orlando, Fla.
The NCFC Cooperative Information Fair is an outlet for cooperatives to have their communications efforts reviewed and critiqued. This year’s competition consisted of 305 entries in 44 categories. A panel of 16 professors from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill judged the entries.
“Contests such as NCFC’s Information Fair provide an opportunity to receive objective and unbiased evaluations of our communications activities,” says PCCA Communications Director John Johnson. “We always strive for the highest quality and level of effectiveness to keep our members informed about their cooperative.”
