PCCA increased its potential to add more value to its grower-owners’ cotton by creating warehouse operations in 1963 at Altus, Oklahoma, and Sweetwater, Texas. Additional warehouse operations were created in subsequent years at Liberal, Kansas, Rule and Big Spring, Texas. All of these facilities were combined to form a single PCCA Warehouse Division in 2008.
The Warehouse Division continues to perform an import role in the cotton supply chain as storage, sorting and shipping facilities. Combined storage capacity at all locations is 1.2 million bales which provides consistent annual dividends paid to PCCA grower-owners whose cotton is stored at these facilities, thus adding value to their cotton.
