For cotton producers in Texas and Oklahoma, Leah Reed now will serve as their direct link to the Cotton Board. As the southwestern regional manager, Reed is responsible for increasing and maintaining grower awareness of the Cotton Research and Promotion Program and Cotton Incorporated research and promotion advancements.
Reed is a native of Kress, Texas, and recently obtained her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, she served as co-chair of the recruitment team for the Aggie Reps, was active in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences student council and participated in Aggie Leaders of Tomorrow. Additionally, Reed was an agricultural and natural resource policy congressional intern for the Honorable Ciro D. Rodriguez during the summer of 2000.
